Connecting Conductor to ChatGPT (MCP)
Conductor connects to ChatGPT through the Opendate app, built on MCP (Model Context Protocol). Once connected, you can query your venue data and run Conductor actions without leaving ChatGPT.
Opendate is listed in ChatGPT's app directory, so you can add it by name. Developer Mode is no longer required for most users.
What you can do once connected
- Ask about holds, confirmations, availability, and upcoming events
- Pull sell-through and sales pacing analytics
- Review financials and settlement reports
- Place and release holds, and build offers
- Draft fan communications and review engagement
- Run your standard Conductor workflows inside ChatGPT

- A ChatGPT account
- On Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces, an admin may need to enable the Opendate app first (Workspace settings → Apps)

Option 2: Add Opendate manually (Developer Mode)
Use this if the Opendate app isn't showing in your directory — for example, on a workspace or region where the listing isn't available yet.
- In ChatGPT, go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer Mode.
- Back on Settings → Apps & Connectors, click Create app.
- Name the app
Opendate, add a short description, and paste this MCP server URL:https://app.opendate.io/mcpThe/mcpsuffix is required. - Click Create app.
- Open a new chat, choose Opendate from the + menu, and sign in with your Opendate account when prompted.
Security and privacy
- Authentication runs through Opendate's OAuth sign-in — ChatGPT never sees or stores your Opendate password
- Access is scoped to your own Opendate permissions
- Revoke access any time from Opendate Settings or from ChatGPT's app settings
- MCP is an open protocol, and Opendate does not use your data to train AI models
Common questions
Does this cost extra? No. The connector is included with your Opendate subscription.
I already created Opendate as a Developer Mode app. Do I need to switch? No, your existing setup keeps working. If you'd like to move to the directory version, delete the custom app first so you don't end up with two Opendate entries.
How does this work for a team? Each person authenticates individually, and permissions match their own Opendate access level.
Can I use other AI tools? Yes. The same MCP server works with Claude.
