How to Issue Mass Refunds and Cancel an Event

This article outlines the steps to effectively cancel an event and notify ticket holders, ensuring a smooth process for all involved.

 

1. Notify Ticket Holders 0:00

  • Select the Promote tab in the left sidebar and go to Broadcasts.

  • Create a new broadcast.

  • Select 'transactional message' to ensure all ticket holders receive the notification.

 

2. Create a Segment for Ticket Holders 0:43

  • Create a segment for recipients.

  • Set criteria to include all ticket holders who have purchased tickets to the specific event.

 

3. Issue Refunds to Ticket Holders 1:41

  • Navigate to the ticket dashboard.

  • Click on the three dots next to 'Add Attendees'.

  • Select 'Issue Multiple Refunds'.

  • If applicable, follow prompts to reach out for assistance.

  • Otherwise, select the checkbox for the attendees and click 'Refund'.

 

4. Mark the Event as Canceled 2:21

  • Return to the event dashboard and go to the Actions dropdown and select Cancel Event.

  • Marking the event as canceled prevents further sales and hides it from website integrations.
