Add an Artist to the Opendate Artist Database

1. Start a New Event

  1. Log in to your Opendate Dashboard.

  2. Click on any open date on your venue calendar to begin creating a hold.

  3. In the "Search Artists" field, start typing the name of the artist you want to book.

2. Confirm the Artist Isn’t in the Database

  1. If the artist exists, their name will auto-populate.

  2. If no match appears, leave the artist field blank and:

    • Enter the artist's name manually into the Event Name field.

    • Proceed to place the hold by clicking Save/Next.

3. Add a New Artist

  1. On the Hold Page, find the section to add an artist manually.

  2. Type in the name of the new artist

  3. Click the "Add Artist" button when prompted.

  4. Press Save to confirm.

    • This will automatically create a new artist profile in the system.

🔒 Note: If you're on the Opener plan, you may notice limited features (e.g., no offer creation or profit/loss tools). You can still add artists normally.

4. View the New Artist Profile

  1. Once saved, click on the artist’s name.

  2. You’ll be taken to the newly created Artist Profile page.

  3. Since this is a new entry, it may appear empty—no bio, images, or tour info. You or your team can update this later.
